TREAD India Trust runs daycare centres for tribal and agricultural families along the Chhattisgarh–Telangana border. Education support, two meals a day, and somewhere safe to be a child.
₹2,100 a month keeps one child at a centre — meals, materials, and their share of a teacher’s time.

What the day actually looks like
They arrive
Children walk in from the village, some of them several kilometres, before their parents leave for the fields.
Lessons and homework
Most are the first in their family to attend school. Nobody at home can help with the homework, so the centre does.
A hot meal, twice
Cooked at the centre. For many children this is the reliable part of the day, and it is why they can concentrate at all.
Home before dark
Supervised until a parent is back from work, by adults who have known them for years and notice when something is wrong.
