A trust that started with one centre and a register.
TREAD India Trust was founded around the year 2000 near Bhadrachalam in Telangana. It is Christian-founded and serves all communities irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

What we do
Three things, done every day
A TREAD centre is somewhere a child can go while their parents work in the fields. They are taught, they are fed twice, and an adult who knows them is watching out for them.
The villages we work in are remote. Roads wash out, power is intermittent, and families move for agricultural work. Doing the same three things every day, for twenty-five years, is the whole method.
Vulnerable families
Alongside the centres, the trust supports young people outside them — orphans, single-parent families and children with disabilities — with education, housing, clothing and food until they finish their education or become self-sufficient.

Transparency
Where the money goes
Every centre reports its attendance, meals, spending and difficulties to the office each month, and those reports go to our UK partner each quarter. The figures on this site come from those reports.
